But do note that if you change the theme on the web version it won’t change it on the desktop app. If you’re using the web version the process is the same. Just click on the different themes to get the one that you prefer most. Once you have the dark mode enabled, you might want to change the look of the Sidebar theme, too. Once you open the Preferences section click on Themes and then click the Dark option. You can also get there by clicking the hamburger menu on the title bar and choosing File > Preferences. Then click your team or workplace name in the upper-right corner of the sidebar. To turn on the dark mode feature, open the Slack app on your desktop. Also, if you don’t see the option yet, make sure that you are running the latest version of the Slack app by manually updating it. The Linux and macOS versions will look different, but the steps are virtually the same.

You should receive a prompt similar to the one below asking to open the Workspace in your Slack App, select Open that here I am showing how to enable it on Windows 10 and the web.

Slack will connect to the Slack Workspace and then after a few minutes you should be redirected.

If you are already signed in skip to step 4. Select the Sign in with your ASURITE ID button and sign in using your ASURITE Username and Password.

In your browser if you are not already logged into your ASURITE account you will be taken to the Sign in to Arizona State University screen.

If you do not know the Slack URL see, How to Find the Workspace's Slack URL Address. Enter the Slack URL for the workspace you are trying to add and then select the Continue button.

From your desktop app you will be taken to a web browser.

Select the Add Workspaces option at the bottom of your Slack Workspace.

From your Mobile App on an Android device swipe right and then select the icon in the top right to display the Workspace page.

From your Mobile App on an iOS device swipe right until the Workspaces page is displayed.

From your Desktop App select the plus (+) sign on the left hand side of your app.

Open your Slack App from your Mobile or Desktop App:.
